Leaving Dover at 9am, we struggled through the English traffic to Milton Keynes, and Bletchley Park.

A lot of work has gone into making this a worthwhile place to visit, and on the whole it works. The kids found the multimedia guides interesting, and there were enough interactive exhibits (even if some of them didn't entirely work) to keep them interested.

    Lunch, and off home!

So, who are this team and what special skills do they each bring to this mighty expedition, I hear you say? Well, there's me, of course. A man who always has a spreadsheet handy, perfect for analysing which dodgy bit of the trail to choose next. I elected myself Head Hiker in a moment of pure egotism. Basically, I'm a control freak!

... and works as a NYC police officer. Hills is a math teacher here in Oxford, and he used to be a PA/Dean for the program.

The football match was a lot of fun. We had some time before the match so the adults all went in to a sports bar near the stadium for a drink. The England/Australia cricket match was on, so Tom E. explained cricket to me a bit. I actually understood it, although Hills started quizzing me on ...
