... wagon trot along the road (had to stop on my bike to snap a photo) and lots of lovely houses in the Swiss style of 3 or 4 levels with tiny wooden shingles (I wonder if they apply them in big sheets or have to line them up manually one at a time) and with a barn right next door!

I stopped on the way back by a river to have my meagre lunch of baked beans (I had a big breakfast!) and apples, did a pee under the bridge out of sight (I hope!) and headed on my way!

I feel like I've stepped into a fairy tale bubble!

... some English is spoken in Zurich, but less in St Gallen and even less in Wittenbach, where Yves and Jake live.

In the morning, and over the weekend, I got to see how gorgeous Switzerland is - so pretty, so colourful (after the brick of England and stone of Scotland), so clean!! so tidy and so relaxed! It just doesn't feel like a stress-inducing place to live - things tick along very nicely - the church bells ring in time to the clock ...

... good.

At about 5, we went shopping and then back to a campsite directly at the water. It was expensive, the guy was friendly but strange, and the showers were lukewarm. Which meant, Stef froze to death and for me it was almost warming. The night was surprisingly warm and we slept like babies (you can totally sleep 10 hours after 75+ km of cycling with a 26 kg bike)

... the way down from the mountains. I thought " Yaa, these little tunnels...piece of cake, no problem bru"
The results: Stef was positively surprised after the first tunnel, I was blown away from the dust, the cars and the volume levels a normal car can produce in a tunnel. It's LOUD, and there is less air going through then through a chain smokers lungs!
But I also had my Yippieeh moment. In the last tunnel ...
