Yesterday we arrived, visiting former coworkers with us in Wuhan. It was a bright, sunny travel day all the way. It took us about eight hours to get there (after missing a turn), and a time change (Eastern Time is one hour later). We had a little scare on the way, running over a a tire shred, but no apparent effect to our driving. ...
This Chrysler Saratoga is Bill Parker's new acquisition. Well, he's had it a year or so, but he didn't have it when I last visited him. It needs some work, rust in bumpers and rear quarters, floor etc, but he's the kind of person who gets stuck into those things and he's looking around for some replacement panels.
I'll get on with preparing the road circuit stuff... you'll have it soon...
... at Detroit. I'm due there Wednesday evening for the registration of the delegates. Thursday there'll be some activities with the brothers and sisters before we get into the Convention program on Friday. I'm scheduled to go out witnessing somewhere in Detroit Monday with local brothers.
I'm looking forward to it so I'll try to remember to take some pics to pass on some of it to all of you.
... the resort, we walked into the Casino. It wasn't very busy. But we didn't stay very long - we probably were there for all of 20 minutes, sharing $5 on the nickle slot.
After that we headed over the main dining room in West Baden, Sinclair's. But we found it closed. So we are ate 'alfresco' in the atrium at Ballard's.
We got home about 6:15 pm. A really nice afternoon, and we're both still just too full to even think about ...
... I am a million miles away and a little sad I can't be there to share the long weekend with them. No matter how nice the scenery or how perfect the weather, memories are always better when shared.
