... top Palua government officials came and sat at different tables to answer questions about the country. All in all, I love Palau. It has over 250 islands and a population of around 20,000 but get this, there are 16 states. If I moved here, I could almost have my own state!!

The four dives made it feel like a very long day and I think people were quite glad to get to bed (I know I was).

Tomorrow is our last day of diving, so here’s hoping we get to see an elusive hammerhead shark, something we’ve been keeping an eye out for as they do come to Palau but aren’t commonly seen where we’ve been diving.

... seeing back in 2008. Life gets so busy so quickly. That night, we picked up Dominique, also Taiwanese, and went to dinner at Carp Restaurant. The place looked plain and ordinary, but the food was good and well portioned. It looked and smelled like a place that all the locals frequent. We had ordered a soup for something like $6 or $7 that was enough to feed five grown men, much less four women. After that, we fell into a food coma, and headed home.

... at first it looked like a big dark shadow, or muddy water (but in a circle), then you look closely and see that it's a GIANT BALL OF FISH! You don't see the individual fish as clearly in this TravelPod blog, but email me if you want me to send you the actual photo, where you can make out the individual fish! Pretty cool!
