Just to show there was no hard feelings about my expensive lunch yesterday (caveat emptor eh.), I decided to go and have another look around the streets on either side of Las Ramblas. I hardly saw anything of the different areas that line this main street of Barcelona yesterday so it was fascinating to discover another side of Barcelona, especially around the university. ... Tomorrow we are starting our cruise around to Venice. I won't be doing my blog, as there won't be free wifi. I will wrote it up when I get home. We are doing the Holland America 12 day Mediterranean Tapestry cruise.
We are just back from dinner at the Tapas Bar across the street. We shared a selection of delectable oily treats and two glasses of home made vermouth. Absolutely fabulous. We'll sleep well tonight.

Since tomorrow will be my full last day, I went to spend it without an agenda. I just want to do what I love most, wander the streets and make discoveries. So happy to live in the middle of it all!
... we had been upgraded to a 5 star hotel, awesome!!! I swear when the workers in the hotel saw the Contiki bus pull up they were horrified. We were all stoked when we saw the building and even more so when we saw our rooms! Because we arrived so late we had an included dinner at the hotel, one of the best meals I've had so far, finally fresh veggies and somewhat "normal" food. Some people went back for thirds so I wasn't the only one who enjoyed it so much. Everything about this hotel ...
