    Dinner and a city tour.

    ... and historic places where the early settlers and city founders lived. We saw the homes that belonged to the logging families and the people who built the railroads that opened up this part of the nation. For her, it was nostalgic, even though she lives there today. But I could sense the passion that she has for the city. For us it was an eye opening experience.
    Thank you Louise. We look forward to returning to Minneapolis someday.

    ... Then we headed to the Mall of America. One of the local high schools was holding their prom there so we saw a lot of fancy dresses and tuxes in addition to the normal crowd. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed. Dinner at Bubba Gumps. We actually like the food at these restaurants so it was a nice evening.     ... after my service ends.

    While finishing up service in Senegal I hope to remain abroad while working with international non-profits. I am not sure which region I would like to work in, or in which field, but serving the international community is a passion of mine that I hope to continue. I am sure that the Peace Corps, and my work in Senegal specifically, will give me the knowledge and skills needed to continue my work. I am willing to relocate wherever needed.

    ... it’s in East London in an area that is not so beautiful. The mayor of London only agreed to have the Olympics in this area so it could be restored; they actually tore down 100’sj of buildings, but interestingly enough they recycled them somehow into constructing the new stadium.     ... something else. I want to do something for these children and let them see what life is like for other children. I have spoken to three American teachers who want to keep in touch. I have promised them I will and that our children will email each other and find out how our lives are different and also the same. But I want to do more than that for them and at the moment I don't know what, but hopefully I will.
