We saw the homes that belonged to the logging families and the people who built the railroads that opened up this part of the nation. For her, it was nostalgic, even though she lives there today. But I could sense the passion that she has for the city. For us it was an eye opening experience.

I made it back ok, in fact, I was lucky enough to have an empty seat next to me on the night flight from Lima so I was able to curl up and sleep. The only problem was that my luggage got lost (again!) and has to be delivered separately the next day. Maybe backpacks don't move through the system as easily as regular baggage.
