    We left Niagara Falls via the Rainbow Bridge into Niagara Falls, New York. We didn't spend anytime there, but from what I saw the U.S. side of Niagara Falls is definitely the ugly step sister to the Canadian side. :) Road tolls seem to be the norm here.     Today started off in Madawaska ME with more rain, The Best Western in Edmundston Canada was very nice. The General Manager Marc took nearly $80 off my bill when I told him what I was doing with The ONE Ride. Thank you Marc.     ... pistachio caramel tart!

    We visited the Portland Observatory, learning that it has nothing to do with stars and everything to do with early maritime commerce. Built on Munjoy Hill in 1807 by an early entrepreneur, the Observatory was used to track the port's shipping activity. The tour offered historic background and a 360-degree view of Portland and Casco Bay.

    ... t quiet summer in Maine!

    BUT, there were lobstah rolls involved!

    Yes, plural, meaning we had lobster rolls twice today! Once for first lunch and then again for second lunch, as Marette so aptly named those memorable occasions! It was a very good day, indeed.
