... with homemade tortillas (thanks again Brett for the fresh bread). The kids went to bed, with red rimmed eyes from the swimming and the culmination of 5 days of play from sun-up to sunrise, and the grown-ups rallied from their margarita fogs for one more round of Settlers of Catan; this was going to be the game to settle the score, or leave it tied at the top if Jess or Sara managed to pull one out of the bag. Well, it was a hard fought game that lasted for over two hours, ...

Today was Jess and Sara's turn to have a day out and exploring so while Tim and Brett stayed home and played with the kids, they loaded up and headed out for the day. ... kids enjoyed swimming and kayaking and even had a wee ride on a tube behind the motorboat. Big E kept putting his thumb up for the boat to go faster, little realising that the small outboard motor was pulling them as fast as it possibly could go. While this was happening, Tim and Brett went for a short paddle to the end of the lake and took the kayaks up a small river that flowed into the lake. This was an enjoyable paddle and ...

... frosting. While the cake was cooling, we went down to join the rest of the crew at the beach and all had a quick swim and then returned home for a wonderful dinner of homemade pizza. Kids and grown-ups hung out and after the kids went to bed, we began our nightly ritual of playing board games. Tonight was Monopoly and it went down as one of the quickest games in history and before you knew it, Tim was victorious.
