      ... ordered bubbly water.

The next day was a long drive to Quebec, about 500 kms, so we asked Rosie to take us on the most direct rowt. We were expecting a bit of snow so we didn't want to dawdle. That's a word I haven't heard for a while. We had to go through Canadian Immigration and heard all sorts of stories how difficult it could be. With only one car in front of us and 30 seconds later we're through so I needed to start to work on my French accent as Quebec is ...

... off the mountain! Now this requires a little bit of a back story. When you reach the age of 90 and you go skiing, there are a few perks -- one of them is you get to ski for free. With our program, one morning-only lift ticket is included, so we basically ski from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., and you can upgrade your ticket to a full-day ticket for $15 per day. ... me. Not only because I believe in the mission of Road Scholar and have the privilege of spending my week with riders up to age 90, but because I am sharing this time with my father, 58, who is on his first Road Scholar program.

With the passing of his mother, my grandmother, about two weeks ago, there is no other place that I would rather be than right here with him enjoying a sport he has been a part of for over 40 years. Not only are ...

... I drove and Gary was pretty nervous most of the way! Glad I was the driver and didn't get ill or as nervous as he was. Low gear going up and down both. The top temp was 30 degrees and 20 mph winds constant. Parked at the first parking lot and it turns out there were several further up and closer to the look out. Walked up hill and up stairs with the cold and wind. Highest wind was recorded here at 232 mph which is the highest recoded in North America. Lots of people come ...
