I had a lovely week consisting of studying, planning trips to Bath and Easter Break, enjoying a cup of Hot Chocolate in the City Center, reading, and looking up summer plans. All in all it was a busy and fun filled week. I quite enjoyed it, if I may say so myself. But the best part of the week was when we went to visit the seals.
On Sat...
Hello!
My second week of classes went very well. I am getting into the swing of things here and keeping myself super busy so that I can fit everything in that I want to do. Except for Monday and Tuesday when I have class and do homework, I never really have a dull moment in which I am not doing something. On Wednesday, Pam, Imogen, and ...
Sorry for the delay we had a medium hiccup which had to be sorted but service has now been resumed.
I wanted to put Great Yarmouth on the map - Hopton isn't locatable on the system.
I apologise for the preamble.

Today I went on a walking tour though the city especially for international students! Our tour guide was a history buff of the area so it was tons of fun. We walked all around the city, and heard interesting stories and fun facts. I tried to include some in the notes of the pictures I uploaded here.
After the walking tour, Pam, Imogen...
So Imogen, Paddy, Mo and I all set off to find secondhand books for our classes. We kind of failed in the finding books part - we got distracted by the sights and sounds of Norwich. But we had a lovely time anyways. We ended up visiting the Norwich Cathedral, Elm Hill, the upper side of Norwich, Langtry pub, and WorldCafe at night. The WorldCafe...

Pam, Kat, and I all headed into the City Center to do some shopping of essentials (like a cell phone and food). We never got lost and had a wonderful time.
Our first stop was Argos, a nicely-priced department store. It has the coolest system: you choose what you want from a catalogue, place your order, and it arrives via a conveyor belt. I...
Hello!
I am getting settled in my flat and meeting new flatmates everyday! I had international student orientation (it is super strange to be called an international student in a country where I speak the native language) on Thursday and Friday, which was very informative. I am attaching some pictures of my new home for the next five month...
After 34 hours of traveling I finally reach my destination, excited and exhausted. But trust me, it was all worth it. Just to drive through the English countryside made me realize that I really am in England. After a year of planning to come to UEA, I have finally made it here. Yay!
May the real adventures begin!
so after the worlds most longest boring journey in which i tried but failed to sleep for any lenght of time and then watched films and was still board and my legs hurt i finally made it home.

I had calculated that the positive tide would commence about 07:30 but as we were up and about early thanks to the uncomfortable night's sleep, we set off at about 06:30. We had 56 miles to cover over the 6 hours of positive tide and the one additional hour we had pinched from the remainder of the ebb, which is an average speed of 8 knots. Initi...
