... the next level up, but also wanted to cheer on the USA group. Following their performance, I asked the Pipe Major where the group was from: Portland, Oregon!!!!! Ha ha!!
We wandered over to the wee ones in the Highland dancing contest. They were cute and many in n umber. Then we went to the Level 3 piper band competition arena. While I don't believe our ears are trained enough to really appreciate the difference, I DID strike up ...

... train going about 20 miles an hour most of the way!!!!
But we finally got there, and are glad we did. THIS castle had the extra royal connection to make the stories and pictures just that much more interesting. The Queen Mother was born here - part of the Strathmore family, who have owned Glamis for 19 generations. The QM was raised at Glamis and her daughter, Princess Margaret was born there. ...

... regiment (the Atholl Highlanders) in Europe. This regiment was first established in 1778 to fight in the American War of Independence. ... a boulder filled gash in the hillside leading to the Lairig Ghru, a fabulous glacial valley that leads south towards Braemar. After another descent into the valley, there was a steep climb to gain the ridge, on excellent paths with great views across to Cairngorm, Ben Macdui, Carn A Mhaim. The bridge was broad and long, with ptarmigan around, and eventually turned west towards the summit, with views into Coire Braeriach and Carn Toul. ...

... lot did the run....hell cleared the road for me. I was on the big ass jumbo tron..... bucket list .... check lol. Seems they liked I was from Canada....I also reminded all the sports bike riders to get rid of the panties......less they were gals of course to which the crowd let of a bit of a laugh.....my head was huge on the screen.....and I was having a bad hair day....sigh.....no open mockery so I think I did Canada ...
