... buildings. Dad found out the theme park was built in 1965. My favorite building was the Flintstone's house. The only annoying thing was that Dad is (for some odd reason) now calling me "Pebbles" after one of the characters.

We visited the playground for some teeter tottering, slide riding and bridge walking. Then we rode in a really cool (and old) Flintstones car prior to heading back to the RV for our VERY VERY LONG 9+ hour ...

... the slides out we are wider than most buses! Also back ins are mostly for travel trailers whose connections are in the rear, where as ours are on the side, so our hose wasn't even long enough! Thankfully my personal Macguiver rigged something up in no time. S we drove into town and got beer, then took one of those cool old west photos! We are getting the heck out of here tomorrow morning. Bob was fuming!

... the horizon above the main street, commemorating (as such) the five men hung for their careers as bandits, bank robbers and murderers back when the area was first established. Marking the first real crackdown on crime across the newly emerging mining communities, if it wasn't already prominent then this event really put VC on the map. Not maybe the best historical accolade but a sign of the strength of the community, that still pervades today.

Friday 25th July We decided that we would stay one more night here. Although our tank of water was getting low, we had access to a spring which was right next to our RV. We knew, from talking to a Nat. Forest employee that it was safe to drink so we used that for drinking and cooking and also for pouring into the toilet for flushing!
