      ... filled in and converted into walking trails. These run for miles along the river and throughout the woods. These trails are used by hikers and campers alike.

      87 degree temps does not encourage fall colors! However, a stop at Ben @ Jerry's eased the warm day. Crossed from VT to NY via Lake Champlain ferry ($23). Ausable Chasm was worth the stop...and provided a scenic hike. Colorful trees amidst interesting layers of rock were amazing!
