... an excellent talk along with handouts explaining all about the ports at Avonmouth and Portbury. We rode through areas where large ships were docked and delivering products as varied as jet fuel, grain, coal, fresh produce, wine, animal feed and new cars. ... challenged Ben (a tennis pro at a really posh health club) to a match as Elly and I cheered from the sidelines. It was intense and in the end we'll just say that Ben was more than polite to call it a draw. I even got a chance to hit around with David for a bit. Felt good to be on the court but probably best to stay in retirement.

All in all a great weekend with some wonderful hosts! Nice to know Bristol is only an hour or so train ride away.
