... rides which is Left Hand Canyon up to Ward. This ends up being approx. a 16 mi. climb with an avg. grade of around 4% except for the last mile or so where you hit a steep section of about 10-12%. The reward at the end of the climb is a cookie from the store at the top. We parked at Bustop and headed over to Left Hand and started our climb. We were both pretty tired from the ride the night before so we just took our time and tried to keep a steady cadence. ...

Back in 2008, Lindsey orchestrated a birthday challenge for Ben's 29th B-Day in Central Washington's chossy (but at least warm enough to climb in early March) Frenchman's Coulee, during which he had to lead 29 pitches in a day. I bombed in to use the facilities [ and purchase an apple, some water and a box of Everlasting Gobstoppers ] plus some sweat pants. You see, my sleeping bag is bust and won't zip up anymore and I'm getting tired of sleeping in my jeans and then having to retire that pair till we hit a laundry stop. It's arseaching and I'm sick of it. So some sweat pants give me something warm to sleep in that will hopefully make up for the busted bag.

Well the hike up to near the Flat Irons was awesome. Terri and Jeff are just such cool people and luckily Terri was kind enough to lend me a ...

... and found out how to tell herbavores from carnivores from the tracks! Really informative it was!!

On the way home we stopped at Tricerotops Trail and had a walk around.

Back in Fort Collins we ate at Café Vino which was good, the wait staff was friendly, but it was a bit pretentious.
