    ... looks as though they are trying to revive the town although I am not sure I would want to spend a week on holiday myself in New Brighton. Each to there own I guess!

    ... Whatever happened to the United States of Europe? I remember when you could visit most countries in Europe and only have to make a single trip to the Bureau de Change!! Our route will start from Venice where the Euro is still king. Our first port of call is Split in Croatia (the Kuna). Next we stop in Kotor, Montenegro.     ... and returning to Europe.

    We spend 2 days in Dubai last time and only saw a fraction of the city. Since then our ‘must see’ list has grown bigger. Amongst other things, we plan on sailing down the creek in a dhow, watching the dancing fountain outside the Burj Khalifa and a trip to the Palm; the man made artificial island in the shape of a Palm.
