          ... alley of our hostel in the pouring rain, and one of the staff members met us outside to let us know we were going to be in separate rooms for our first night there. She offered to pay for our taxi to their sister hostel not far away, but we were so tired at that point that we just wanted to get to bed.

          ... The husband was just lying in bed, too weak to move. He was so thin and frail. You could see he was just waiting for death now. I couldn't look at him without having to hold back from crying. Even though they had nothing she then went to give us all in turn a keyring and wanted no money for them. Of course we all paid anyway.
