    We finally made it to Muskoka, to stay with Mike who I met 2 years ago in Florence. The original plan was to just stay a couple of nights then head to Ottawa, but they were having a party on Friday night, so we figured it would be rude not to stay for it!     We awoke at 5:00 am to a winter wonderland and the news that Highway 400 at Barrie was closed in both directions. Our departure was delayed as an alternate route was worked out in order to gather all our passengers. Stops were made in Orillia, Barrie, Bradford (along Yonge Street to get there) and Vaughan where we picked up Bill Watts, our driver and Tony Stewart's biggest fan.     Dropped our food off at the Calders and had our goodbyes. Freezing cold today 9F. Car was so full we had to take our garbage down the road on the hood of the car. 2:00 - Duty Free Erie - got 3 bottles of rum and one Carolan - 57.00! WOOT. These are 1ltr and not those skimpy 750ml.
