Initially we came to Pittsburgh looking to see the Andy Warhol museum and visit the Carnegie Hall where the last lecture was given... And then we saw the sky and knew we had to find a spot for sunset. The top hit was Mount Washington. Getting there was pretty cool, the mountain side was filled with full house style houses. And freeways through mountains. Once you get to Mount Washington stay on Grandview Ave for the ...

... miles through NC, TN, VA, WV, PA - 5 states of autumn splendor. And, it was a perfect 60 degree and sunny day. I wish I had more pics of the beautiful countryside, but it is difficult to capture from a 70 mph vehicle. All I can say is, we were not bored. Back at the hotel, we discovered we could see the inclines and Grandview Avenue from our hotel. Our room did come with a view.

... Afterwards we wandered through Oakland and UPitts campus, and found ourselves in an old favorite gastropub by the name of Fuel and Fuddle, where we were met by our old friend from the fund Jacob and his girlfriend Kim, both of whom still work for the organization, but who happened to be out of town (north of Pittsburgh!) when we contacted them from DC. When we made plans to meet up I didn't even realize it was Jacobs ...

This picture speaks a thousand words. I reflect back on the first day that Pastor John approached me in the café about going to Kenya with him and a team. He said the Lord was leading him to invite me. That was back in early 2010. At that time I had doubts he was hearing ...
