... had been injected into it since the previous day.

Luckily, it had! We had a look around the shops and enjoyed the array of Norman Rockwell art which was home to the famous artist before he died.

It was then we decided to liven the day up and play our favourite shopping game - the $5 challenge! So with $5 each in hand, off we went in different directions to see who could buy the ...

... had nothing to do really, I walked in the garden, saw the raspberry bushes, a lovely tree house, a little pond with fish, the lawn where the dogs love to play around... A little paradise!

I so much enjoyed to be part of a family, everybody around the breakfast table in the morning, the funny Corki dogs, the cat that comes to sleep on my bed, and seeing my old friend Phil after so many years.

Tomorrow I take my Amtrak train to Montreal, next visit!

We left just after 8 am to tackle the last two locks in the Champlain Canal and the Federal Lock at Troy. We did still stop at Lock One Marina for diesel, and he filled us up so quickly we were even still able to make it through Lock 1 with the other sailboat Callipyge we had been traveling ...

It was a two hour train ride from Grand Central to the end of the line at Wassiac, in Massachusetts. From there I was picked up and driven another hour to Alford, home to the Bevans, Mary's relatives who have lived in the States for the last 50 years.

We found John and Tricia to be very generous with there time and extremely gracious hosts during our stay. They actually tried to run us ragged with daily tours of the local ...
