Day 49. Vermont The first stop today was Fort Adams - not that was saw a great deal of the fort. It was bucketing down, windy and so cold, the walk to the visitors centre was enough to send us back to the warmth of our car. ... American billboard advertisements. The first one we saw was a sign saying 'food' with a Dunkin Donuts logo next to it. We weren't taken aback by the advertisement so much but more for the fact that they consider Dunkin Donuts to be 'food'!

This it seemed would be the first of a thousand Dunkin Donut signs we would come to constantly see on the road!

... a Mohawk with his arms lifted up in prayer to the Great Spirit. The statue stands on a boulder and is quite impressive! Another little piece of history is the Little Red School House, built in 1868. The one room school stands in its original spot. Unfortunately, we weren't able to go inside, although the brochure said it was open. Still, a nice piece of Americana. We then ventured into the little town of Shelburne Falls to see their uniquely different tourist attraction, ...
