    ... s War" (thank you for the recommendation, Janet!), but I am not sure if I will get to those before I leave! Maybe they would be good for the plane ride over. I have an adaptor, I am loading my Kindle with books, and I have some travel books. I can't wait! The next entry may be from England...we will see how the week goes!

    Our adventure in Asia is over and it is time to say goodbye to our life in Shanghai.

    I came home to NH at the very end of May and while here, Jim notified me that his assignment is done and he will be reassigned to a position in North America .Imagine my surprise and delight to learn that I was not home for the summer, but simply, home.

    So, back to May and our trip to Beijing…

    Upon arrival at the train station in Beijing our tour guide, Jason, picked us up and took us to a traditional "Kung Fu" show. Similar to the acrobatic show we saw with Robert but with more of a story line, it was entertaining and kept us oohing and ahhing from the many martial art feats.

    Afterwards we headed to a Duck restaurant for Beijing Duck. What better city to have this dinner ...

    ... packed up the room and then the car for the last time. I must say,we do have the art of living out of our suitcases to a science. After checking out for the last time,we hit the road. NY State Thruway to Mass. Pike, then 495 to Route 3 and we would be home.
