Bought Xmas decorations for children and also went to Waitrose to buy some food.Unfortunately the surrounds were very hazy and unable to get photos of the lovely green rolling hills with little villages amongst the trees and sheep and cows grazing in the fields. ... as we ran out of time last week. Parts of it were the 13th century gatehouse of Beaulieu Abbey, but it’s now mainly of Victorian vintage. It was well worth the return visit - a great house with lots to see and very interesting paintings, photos and momentos of the Montagus over the centuries.
