        ... located in Bird-in-Hand, PA. There we picked up some pastries – raspberry and cherry pie, gingerbread, and a sticky buns. They will be good for deserts for the next few nights.

        We left the Shenandoah Valley today headed for Bowmansville, PA. We had about a six hour drive plus two hours to feed and take Mousse out to go to the bathroom. We learned on CNN that there was a shooting in Roanoke. We saw a lot of police vehicles on Interstate 66 when we were leaving the area. It turns out the killer was shot on Interstate 66. ...

        Last travel blog, We arrived home safe and a little tired about 1 o'clock. Return home in 2 1/2 days two of the days being about 700 miles each and today was about 350 miles.         ... around 175 degrees.

        Outside of the pictures I've taken, there doesn't appear to be much left of Centralia. All of the abandoned homes have been demolished, the paved streets are slowly being taken over by undergrowth. Unfortunately the most prominent thing you'll see is trash and litter from inconsiderate visitors.

        ... when looking at the elevation profile: 12 miles through the Cumberland Valley, an almost completely flat expanse through fields and near towns. And terrain-wise, it was easy, but the problem was the weather.
