    ... me half an hour to cut it away. Every time I hacked a bit more of it away I thought, stay calm, be patient.

    Finally, we were free and off we set again. By now we were looking for somewhere to moor and found a really nice spot. As we were tying up I was inwardly praising myself for my patience at clearing the prop, then the rope got tangled around my foot and an expletive passed my lips.

    We arrive at the next lock to find a boat moored on the locking bollards even though there is ample space behind. This makes things difficult for the boat handler. It was still a beautiful day.
