At the base, as one drives in the park, there is a large prairie dog town. You can see their heads popping up all over the field and they will sit at the openings of their burrows and pose for pictures.

... But you have to cut them some slack, it took Mount Rushmore 14 years to be completed and they’ve only been working on Crazy Horse since 1948!!!
