      Cycling along the river allowed us to check out the locks, there was one which had two locks side by side: one was an old push style lever lock with the old hand ratchets while the other was a fully mechanised pinion and rack geared system the same as the set up we'd seen in just about all of the French canals that we'd been on.       ... to purchase a ticket. Whilst in the line a TV crew approached us and asked if anyone in the group was Scottish. Two of them were and so they got to sing the Scottish anthem for Andy Murray on BBC Sports.
