The host Linda, and other lodger Simon, are really friendly and helpful but both work really long hours and I've only spent a few minutes with them. I found out from Linda how to get to Ealing Broadway which is the nearest shopping centre. So after breakfast yesterday ( shredded wheat, which I haven't tasted for 50 years and it is still yummy, and toasted Hovis bread) I walked to the ...

I'm not normally afraid of heights, but the metal seemed creaky, like at any moment one of the panels would give way and I would be sent falling to my death. ... tents and I can confirm that having 500 tents so close together is a complete disaster. People snoring, people laughing, drunken people arriving home and making a racket and people cooking bacon and eggs early in the morning and not sharing. I think it would be fair to say that not one person got a good night’s sleep that night.

The third and final day had arrived! We had officially made it and it was announced that we would be seeing ...

... was snowing like crazy. I didn't care. The only thing I cared about was if I was gonna miss him. The flight landed at the Luton airport at 7am. I jumped on the train to the Gatwick airport. He arrived early and waited for me. He took me to a Cafe and sat down, looked at me like always. He ordered breakfast and I ordered soup, like exactly we did last time in the Heathrow airport. It felt like we were back to 16 months ago, he was still in the UK. We had so many to talk ...
