    ... and had coffee and some sweets. Later we drove over to Ellijay which was like a small version of Dahlongea but a bit kitschy. Pretty country though....rolling hills and apple farms.....later we went to a very 1950s diner for a burger and a huge thunder and lightning storm blew through....very fast and tons of rain for about 30 ...

    Woke up around doing 8 and had breakfast in the hotel...pretty good actually. Then we were off to Wakinsville first which is a tiny village about 15 min from Athens. It's not big b.ut after a few wrong turns we found the Elder Mill covered bridge outside the town.. It's a pretty area with rolling hills and large cattle/horse farms. We then went to Monroe for coffee ?.small , not exciting town. Then we went back to Athens and spent the afternoon at the Georgia State ...

    ... The earlier service reminded us more of our service at home with contemporary songs and a praise team/ band. During the traditional service, Parker preached basically the same sermon, but the choir sang a song.
