Great little quirky pub and rooms. Awesome customer service. Room was a renovated attic, lots of history.

Very accommodating staff, adequate rooms, great pub and restaurant. Visit Aldermaston and Tadley and stay at the Hind's Head if you want to get a feel for the real England.

We landed at about 6.30pm, a little behind schedule but we were happy to be there. The plane flight was interesting to say the least, those poor air hosties are underrated. They do an amazing job and have to put up with a lot.

Getting into the UK was also an experience, cattle class doesn't even cover it. Once we got through, got our …

What incredible richness. Not just the hundreds of millions of pounds worth of buildings, furnishings and collections, but the great sense of a long and ongoing continuity. An incredible asset for the UK, and whatever the future holds politically and for the monarchy, may this incredible institution survive and flourish.

The only disappointment was that the Queen did not show up for morning tea!

She never complained about her health although I think that briefly she might have mentioned it in passing when she was better. So briefly that I'm not sure if she did or not. So I salute my friend and her steadfastness and determination to beat this thing and am very, very sorry that she has finally lost the ...

And of course, WiFi in the room meant Kaitlin was out for the count Mom and I headed out to London to fight the Jet Leg and explore the city! The Queen declined our invite to afternoon tea! But we had fun walking the streets and seeing the sites! Tomorrow we head to Turkey where the real adventure ...
