Great little quirky pub and rooms. Awesome customer service. Room was a renovated attic, lots of history.

Very accommodating staff, adequate rooms, great pub and restaurant. Visit Aldermaston and Tadley and stay at the Hind's Head if you want to get a feel for the real England.

We landed at about 6.30pm, a little behind schedule but we were happy to be there. The plane flight was interesting to say the least, those poor air hosties are underrated. They do an amazing job and have to put up with a lot.

Getting into the UK was also an experience, cattle class doesn't even cover it. Once we got through, got our …

I might have been offended by the treatment of me as "not quite all there", but it was just what I needed and the whole was done simply and efficiently. Everyone in the Post Office seemed to have equally satisfactory discussions so it is another tick for Postal Services. Brussel sprouts also remain in the "do not eat" category. It was almost as bad an experience as beets in my childhood household. Luckily, the dog liked them so we were usually able to feed him the spouts under the table when mom was in the kitchen and therefore never had the agony of spending hours sitting at the table staring at the hated vegetables like we did ...

I think my jetlag is pretty shocking right now. A few hours ago, on the plane, I looked in the mirror and my eyes were glazed over in pinky red. I’m drinking coffee because that’s what you do when you’re tired. And there has to come a point where lack of sleep – due to the chaos of a plane journey ...
