We were all pretty tired driving home. It was a long drive from the their winery to Plymouth.
Tomorrow we have another special tasting to go to at Scott Harvey winery. I think you're going to do something special for us also. By tomorrow night I think I'm going to be ready for just a beer!
Anyway it's been fun and bitter sweet at the same time. All the people here miss mom a lot.

We'll we're lucky that California's biggest county fair is tsing place this weekend. From today until 17th in Frogtown USA they are holding the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee in celebration of The 150th anniversary of Mark Twain's short story The Celebrated Jumping Frog. As it happens we passed Mark Twain's cottage on the way to the fair. A storm is forecast today with heavy snow warnings at altitude so hiking wasn't a good idea today. We felt a bit underdressed ...
... On the way back we stopped off at Murphy which is a very quaint old gold mining town which is nicely preserved. There are 22 wineries that each have a tasting room in separate old building on the Main Street so it's a whole street of wine tasting boutiques. Day two of the road trip. We dine on our host's fresh eggs before setting off the the cavern. There is something wonderful about fresh eggs. The yolks stand up tall and are such a bright dense yellow not to mention rich and creamy.
