I am so ready to come home now. Will leave early in the morning. Am going to stop in Bend and see Tom and Jen Cooper. Probably stay overnight and get home Tuesday morning.

    ... on the label. Wow!

We were all pretty tired driving home. It was a long drive from the their winery to Plymouth.

Tomorrow we have another special tasting to go to at Scott Harvey winery. I think you're going to do something special for us also. By tomorrow night I think I'm going to be ready for just a beer!

Anyway it's been fun and bitter sweet at the same time. All the people here miss mom a lot.

    I love you all!

We set off for Calaveras Big Trees park which turned out to be double the drive we expected (1.5 hours not 45 mins). The forecast blast from Alaska has started to come in so it's getting a bit chilly. We followed the North Grove trail with a diversion to ...

... she had her fireproof bark removed. You can still see the saw marks at eight foot intervals where the men removed it. The bark was reconstructed in New York to illustrate how massive these trees were. It caused an outcry and people were shocked that something so beautiful had been destroyed for entertainment. The race to protect these wonderful trees was on. One of the older fallen trees was already down before Europeans came to this ...
