I am so ready to come home now. Will leave early in the morning. Am going to stop in Bend and see Tom and Jen Cooper. Probably stay overnight and get home Tuesday morning.

Hope to see you soon Bill, Michelle, Ashlyn and Chase. Love to all. ...

    ... on the label. Wow!

We were all pretty tired driving home. It was a long drive from the their winery to Plymouth.

Tomorrow we have another special tasting to go to at Scott Harvey winery. I think you're going to do something special for us also. By tomorrow night I think I'm going to be ready for just a beer!

Anyway it's been fun and bitter sweet at the same time. All the people here miss mom a lot.

    I love you all!

As it happens we passed Mark Twain's cottage on the way to the fair. A storm is forecast today with heavy snow warnings at altitude so hiking wasn't a good idea today. We felt a bit underdressed ...

There are 22 wineries that each have a tasting room in separate old building on the Main Street so it's a whole street of wine tasting boutiques. We were after a cup of tea which we found in a tempting cupcake shop. All the places looked worth exploring with lots of interesting shops which unfortunately we're just ...

Day two of the road trip. We dine on our host's fresh eggs before setting off the the cavern. There is something wonderful about fresh eggs. The yolks stand up tall and are such a bright dense yellow not to mention rich and creamy.

Stoked up up we hit the road. Black Chasm Caverns are a 40 minute trip from Fiddletown. We climb into the foothills of the Sierras and enjoy the changing environment from the rolling golden hills to ...
