A wonderful experience .hotel is divine, room lovely , clean, and linen beautiful. Food great staff friendly. The village is small and not as busy and crowded as some. Close to all main villages. I wound recomond this to everyone

Dawn at 3.58 dusk ends 10.19 and we have been busy busy busy! Princess Jenny has left the building Had the best night sleep n this sleepy town. It was a an unusually dark morning we were told. Got to listen for the cuckoo bird who is here ATM for 1 month before flying back to Africa. Loely home cooked breakfast and we were off to tour the Cotswold! Stow on wold - first stop. 10 mins away. ... the crazy traffic through Birmingham. Arrived at Blockley where we are staying. Found the loos and village shop for a late lunch. Big film crew here filming "father brown". A new mini series already showing here but just been sold to oz . Of course I had to see if there was any body famous.....see attached pic... Arrived at our destination. I finished off with a visit to the Ashmolean Museum, which is full of old pots, statues etc of ancient times. I only had time to see the ground floor which is a survey of the ancient civilisations of the Middle East and the Mediterranean. Definitely a museum for the scholar, though everything was neatly labelled and explained in its context for those who are not. Not for kids unless you want to put them off for life, but you can easily ...
