... we'd been chatting to in mutual pain were looking round the bus in amazement, seeing a sea of identically-thinking faces. Finally, the bus stopped, and Billy told us all he loved us again. The doors opened and we got the **** out, piled onto the pavement and legged it! Possibly one of the most surreal experiences I've ever had.
I had lunch with Jen and her dad at a restaurant nearby, then headed off to the War Remnants Museum about a twenty minutes' walk north. This was my ...

So in Ho Chi Min City......same-same city...or as we think the translation for it is; Scoo-Ter-City.!!! Never seen so many scooters in my life!! You hardly see any normal cars. It´s everywhere!! Funny though, in Thailand all the scooters were Suzuki´s. Here Honda ...

... were the policy makers. Nonetheless, the US is responsible for numerous, horrifying war crimes that are simply unforgivable. I know these are harsh words but anyone who disagrees with me should read about the US-backed tiger cages and the spraying of over 21,000,000 gallons of Agent Orange across South Vietnam.
Agent Orange contains dioxin, which is one of the most toxic chemicals known to man. Its use in Vietnam has caused 400,000 deaths and injuries, and 500 ...

Saigon is Vietnam's brush with modernity and the Western world. But my days here are largely uneventful. I visit the War Remnants Museum, which is Vietnam's documentation of the horrors of the Vietnam War. It's at once both powerful and humbling. You don't leave the place feeling very good about history.
Pourquoi dois-je me lever?
... stop Luc from starting a rumble that we really would have been outnumbered in) There were maybe 8 other non Vietnamese people there.... and anytime you saw one... they had the same look on there face, a mix of fear and amusement. Funny. So that was Saigon. We hopped on a bus headed for the coast... more to come!
Also.... have included a few tardy photos that I just downloaded that don't go with this entry... but I am sure you can follow along!
... office in spite of its tourist attraction with a souvenior shop inside. I bought a souvenir stamp sheet for Mr. Nakano, who was my patient and a stamp collector.
Then we walked to Ben thanh Market. It had a lot of stalls inside, but I just bought a souvenir T-shirt with a print of Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam flang. When we left the market, it was raining outside, but we had a plan to have dinner in the floating restaurant on the Saigon River. So we had ...
