... warm. As far as snow goes, other than on Christmas, you can have it! I hate shoveling off my car for an hour after work everyday, driving 25 mph EVERYWHERE, slippery/snotty roads, whiteouts, salt on my Jeep, all of it I hate it. I would love Michigan IF I could spend the winters somewhere else-somewhere warm. So....I just have to figure out HOW to go about doing ...

Chasing Rainbows

... myself. All day long, as we drove north along the coast of Lake Huron, I kept seeing rainbows appear and disappear over the lake, and it seemed very apropos.

First big stop of the day was at Tawas State Park, home to a beautiful lighthouse and beach. The sun came out just in time for Addie's first beach experience. It was windy, and really cold, but it didn't bother her one bit. We saw a couple of kiteboarders (brrrr), ...

Nothing exciting to tell you except that I have started my journey west. Well, to be exact northeast then west. I left Grand Rapids at 8:30 AM and plan to drive until I get tired. I stopped at Mcd's for lunch and their new southern chicken wings are surprisingly yummy. Spicy and crunchy.

I was planning to leave Sunday the 13th of October but I got hit had by the flu bug. I am not feeling really well yet but today is the first day I have had enough energy to drive.

One last note- we visited the famous Legs Restaurant for the first time ever while staying at Wilderness SP. A very unique place well worth a visit if you are anywhere near Crossville, MI. The food was wonderful and the traditional polish dishes and vodkas will not ...
