After a long, grueling week of babysitting, I hitched a ride with my Aunt Jenna and Uncle Martin down to good old Winchester, Virginia. (Can I just smother them with some more gratitude for a minute?)

Since it turned out to be a beautiful day and didn't rain as we heard it was going to do, Caitlyn did a Rope Adventure! We're so happy that she overcame a few fears and didn't give up on a few of the more difficult obstacles. She took her time and did it! It was really great to see her so high up in the air and having such a great time. She spent almost an hour up there!

... s, yet took time to pick us up. At the trail head, Rock Fish Gap, we met a guy who is biking across the U.S. with a group of friends, to raise money for M.S.. I got his web address from him, we talked for a bit, and then he took off to meet up with his support crew. Funny thing, on my last thru-hike in 2008, we met some kids that just started a cross country bike ride. We met them at the same exact spot, and they were also leaning against the same section of guard ...

Front Royal had a few note worthy battles during the civil war and thus has it's fair share of attractions related to the great battle between the Union and the Confederates.
