      ... had read, I was expecting smaller). The bath is very nice. Tile shower and floor and marble sink (the shower is bigger than a cruise ship)! A TV with movies in the room and the TV can work as a computer.


      All passengers were greeted in the lounge with a glass of champagne. We listened to the captain give a welcome talk and a snippet of safety talk. He introduced the heads of departments, then Dragan took over to talk about the evenings plans. Several more glasses ...

      ... the Danube for a bit. Before you know it we are back to the ship. We sail around noon towards Vilshofen, Germany our final stop.       ... to meet up with our ship in the town of Passau. It was a beautiful ride, with a well maintained bike path in place all of the way, and a fun stop at a local beer garden (for some very tasty Weiss Beer) in Vilshofen about halfway along the way.       ... to see the scale of the brewery – it’s gigantic. The bottling plant alone was phenomenal, with a capacity of 120,000 bottles per hour. You got to see the historical side of the brewery as well as the new contemporary side –
      essentially everything is brewed in the same way, only bigger and better with more robotics and less man power. It’s all about being more efficient and brewing more beer! I suppose ...

      ... On the subject of signs, it's very pleasing to see very few traffic or other signs around, no sign clutter!! There's a lot to like about this part of Germany, the people are helpful, friendly, courteous to cyclists and go quietly about their work. The only downside I can see is their smoking habits, everyone smokes! There are cigarette vending machines in hotels, in the streets and even the side of the road, a pack of twenty costs ...
