We’ve been hanging out with Sylwia and Luke a fair bit. They came and met us in Brooklyn for brunch and then we headed to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Doesn't... doesn't seem like a fair trade. The dude gave Nick our half of the ticket, and then Nick lost it immediately. That's not something we realised right away of course. It wasn't till we were in the middle of Penn Station waiting for The Peruvian to do some ...

Out and About in NYC

... legal or other factors. After walking the streets of Bangkok alone at midnight, some pretty bad areas of Lima, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taipei, not to mention Saigon and Can Tho in wartime, I think I will have my antennae properly attuned to trouble in New York in the daytime.

I never once sensed any danger. People I encountered were extremely open and friendly. Moreso than even I had imagined. I stopped and bought a postcard for a special friend, but ...
