... really meaningful and super eerie but we were really glad we went there. Next we walked to Wall St, saw a statue of George Washington and then walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. Central Park was next, we grabbed some lunch on the way and found a nice grassy spot to chill out for a couple hours. ... it to the Upper West Side aiming to get to a large-shoe shop that had been recommended to me as having wide fitting shoes. Alas they didn't have any dress shoes that suited but I picked up a good pair of runners and a pair of casuals. The aim of the day was to take a Circle Line River cruise but shoes took too long and so we headed to the Central Park Zoo. But alas time ran out again and so we ended up paddling about the Lake rich in algal bloom. Interesting see which family members ...

What makes the trek feel tense if the fact that your oxygen intake will be considerably lower than normal (assuming you live relatively close to sea level). You will already have to worry about pulling enough air during your hike...do you really want to worry about aching ...
