    We started Fort Lauderdale with a bang given it was St Pattys day!!! A great Irish bar (Briny Riverfront Ocean Pub) within walking distance to our accommodation was all we needed for a great night. A band, green beers and some Australian loving locals all made for a good night.     ... this without the beast ending my life. This also perplexes me, for the beast, looking ferociously at me, does not attack me. However, when I attempt to remove the ring from my neck the beast begins to brace for attack. The ring seems to protect me from the beast. I now understand that the beast was not afraid of the light earlier but was simply unable to attack a ring bearer, but how was it that the previous ring bearers were killed while wearing the ring?
