... cutaways! We stopped at a covered bridge, riverside and a a beautiful waterfall - Sabbaday Falls, which had the clearest water we had ever seen - on a hot day we both just wanted to plunge our heads into it! We had lunch sat on boulders on the side of the river, watching the water rush by. Today truly proved that the 'selfie stick' was the best present ever (thank you Sarah) - we got so many good photos because of it! We then made our way to ...

... Welcome to New Hampshire! We won't be here long though as we are just passing through. There are great little towns here and I love the houses and White Birch Trees!

Although a fair distance from the Atlantic Ocean and any sea-dwelling creatures, we had the potential for altogether different encounters with wildlife here in the White Mountains. Leaving the quaint isolation of our mountain cottage on Puggy Huddle was hard (it's just so beautiful), but we ventured out and did some exploring through the White Mountains. Whipping southeast through the mountains, we drove faster than the following weather could move. Although not built ...

... noticed as we drove in to downtown Gorham was the railroad museum. Unfortunately it was closed by the time we got here. The rail line here is ex Grand Trunk. Now it's a G & W property, the St. Lawrence and Atlantic RR. I was told that trains run sporadically. I wish there was more to say, but after a full day of driving I'm tired and ready to just veg out for a bit. Until tomorrow, ...
