... latte :) We found a friendly pub/ restaurant for our evening meal, with a very good local band playing familiar English songs- including their rendition of Tom Jones's 'sex bomb'. Anastasia, the maitre d', was able to explain the dishes to us in English fortunately. The following evening she gave us painted hard boiled eggs and 'medivik', special Easter cake, as Easter is a week later here than the UK. Two days in Irkutsk then we were off ...

... the first seat aboard! So after an impressive ride back through some pretty spectacular scenery and roads through the hills along the shore, and what resembled a stock car ride through town ( it's easy to understand now why there are so many smashed up motors everywhere!) we'd made it back.
