We elected to visit the water town of Zhujiajiao today as we had previously had a good look at Shanghai centre when we visited Gareth out here in 2010. Zhujiajiao was a delightful place full of tiny alleyways and shops selling weird & wonderful things. The temperature in Shanghai was very low last week ( minus figures!) but for our visit it was sunny and a balmy ...

As the syllabus had been completed, we had just been told to prepare fun lessons for the students. I sorted out some summer holiday themed classroom games, followed by playing some rather daft games on ...

... for myself. Given that I probably ate more than 50% of my non-breakfast meals from Kush, the counter girl came to recognize my voice over the phone, and the deliver guys all knew which room to deliver to at my hotel. I will certainly miss Kush when I leave Shanghai.

Shintori (Shanghai) - a wonderful Japanese place with a fixed menu that included sea urchin soup and sea urchin liver served with a fruit vinegar jelly (both delicious). The ...
