    ... owner) came over to us, yelling in Chinese and tried to snatch the dresses out of Sarah's hand. Sarah wouldn't let go (because she had already paid for them and one of them was hers they had used to copy) and it turned into quite a struggle with the old lady yelling to Sarah's face in Chinese, trying to pull the dresses away and crowds gathering. We tried to ask the young girl (who spoke English) why she wouldn't let us leave but she clearly didn't have any say ...

    ... bridges over the canals, but some of the sites are a little pointless - a couple of art galleries that weren't great, some nice gardens, an old post office (now museum), and some temples - which were ok, apart from when the monks drag you into a room to write a good luck scripture for you, then get all shirty with you when you only want to "donate" 20 yuan (2) in return, waving an accounts book at you where some insane tourist had given them nearly 50.
