1. My eyes popped open when Harvey said – look out the window! Glittering yellow leaves sparkled and waved good morning as they shimmied in the latest gust of wind pushing along the grey clouds. Immediately after breakfast, I stood out on the deck, playing with the settings on my camera and attempting to capture those yellow leaves swaying ...
Our next stop was the interior in search of mountains having done the Maine coast to death , not really. We had a longish but pleasant drive to a small town called Rangeley still in Maine but up in the mountains. The motel offered us a choice of the old inn or a pond side room , one look at the "pond" side room and we were in, actually the pond was by our standards a decent sort of lake . Another beautiful day a pity we had to spend it driving ...
... the post office. Our mail has been dwindling to mostly the junk sort - someone trying to convince us of something - like clothing catalogs, lawn service, or the next political campaign. The "good stuff" has been re-directed from mail to email as Harvey has gradually moved it, preferring less clutter in the house and the audit trail of email statements and on-line banking.

... the rising of the moon in such an environment. Exactly behind the mountain I like the most here in this area - Cannon Mountain. The pictures don't really reflect the beauty of the moment. But I take it, you at least are able to get an idea.
The weather is still just perfect and will stay like that for another couple of days, so stay tuned, there's a lot more to come!
