We left Arata early due to warnings about construction delays on route 299. We had to be in Chico before 4 for the brewery tour at Sierra Nevada.
The route we took (299) was a great road for the bike, but the construction delays were a bit of a downer. I liked several of the small towns we rode through, especially Weaverville.
We made it to Chico by 1:30 and checked into the hotel to get ready for the tour.
... awesome burritos. Emily mentions that she plays in a social mixed softball team and I mention I played in school and would love to come and watch. She said they were down players so if they could find a glove for both Aaron and I we could play, this immediately excited the both of us to get involved in some fun.

It was fun to wake up to a field, right next to us, full of horses, riders and horse trailers. I must admit that it put my cats' litter box to shame though, lol. But we saw some really beautiful horses.
... 8217;t starting up as well as it should and right before we were going to head out there Corey’s truck wouldn’t start and he was stuck in the grocery store parking lot with a dead battery. Jump starting a diesel is a little more challenging than an ordinary car since there’s two heavy duty batteries in it so he had to wait around for someone from our Good Sam Road Assistance to jump start it. Update from Long Beach: Hadi texted me the other day wondering if i could come to Long Beach and be his personal driver. Abdo lost his license afterall. Poor boys!!! I wish I could help, but I'm 600 miles away!
Also, RIP Gabe Aid. too young and too cool, sorry man.
