    -As I arrive to Weed CA I notice a huge museum with many historical things. I was in need of gas so I stopped at an Arco station to fill up. My plan is to have my next stop in Eugene OR, to visit the university of Oregon. I am hoping to visit at least 3 colleges on my road trip.

    ... need to find some where to stay, Tom had a KOA site in mind. We ride with the sun setting which Mount Shasta looming in the distance, well just as the forest fires had made everything very hazy. The town is dominated by the volcano which is part of the cascade range.
