... time packing up and headed down. Obviously it was MUCH easier going down , but it was still lengthly. It would be great to live out here and dayhike whenever.... We made it down about 11 taking making many pics along the way and meeting a few folks too headed up. Once back at the car, we headed east towards Winthrop, a tourist cowboy town. ... Weather was pretty iffy most of the day but was a very scenic route. Stopped at Astoria at the Best Western - good hotel - rate $108 plus $15 for George. Was clean and relatively new. Ate dinner at the Ship Inn which was a good seafood place. Basic and definitely not fine dining but good ...

I was excited to see central Washington as it's a place I'd never seen before. The drive from Seattle to Wenatchee was beautiful, driving along US2 was scenic and it was a gorgeous day. Busy day yesterday just shopping. We went first to the Premium Outlets at Quida Vida or something similar. All the high end shops were there so didn't spend much. Did get a pair of travel pants and shirt at Eddie Bauer. There isn’t much that I need and I also have to carry it back home.

We changed to another outlet mall where they had the ordinary outlets. I think I bought most things at Macy’s. Didn’t get anything from T.J.Max but I got a couple ...
