    Another day of skiing!

A travel blog entry by matt-hryniewicz on Mar 01, 2015

Went skiing with the Reidy's and their cousins. Jay Peak is definitely a must on a skiers list. Some sweet glade skiing for novices. Packed powder. 25 degrees. Barely a breeze. A couple of quads and a tram bought you to the top. Sitting on the Canadian border in northern Vermont, it's quite remote making for small lift lines. It was a four hour ride but the ride back was a bit more interesting with the impending ...

... so sometime, more for the experience of Vermont winter than the snow because eastern snow conditions rarely compare with those in the West.

A short distance south of Stowe is the Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory in the town of Waterbury. Ben and Jerry’s still has a reputation as a hippie liberal small-scale artisanal producer of premium ice cream even though that couldn’t be farther from the reality nowadays. So ...

Burlington - Biggest Town in the Quaintest State

Burlington is the biggest city in one of the smallest states. I have never before been to Burlington but considered it high on my list of places to visit because of its reputation as a pleasant college town with a high "livability" index. After spending the day in Shelburne went into Burlington for the evening for dinner and a few beers at a brewpub and strolled around. I really ...
