A Deep Breath And A Big Leap

A travel blog entry by windinthetrees on Jun 07, 2015

... I'd follow the wisdom of John Muir, "traveling outward into the beauty of the world to find the road that leads inward." I have a general physical path mapped out for this trip from east coast to west. I am cautiously optimistic that the inward map will show itself in due time. So, after weeks of planning, tomorrow I will wake up, take a big deep breath and leap into the unknown. I'll let you know how it ...

    And so it begins

The good lord blessed our trip by pouring holy water from the sky on us all day long today. Poor Alex was bitterly disappointed when we got to the end and the free taste was Strawberry Cheesecake flavour -something Alex would never voluntarily eat. Suffice to say, her cup with one lick taken out was thrown in the trash. We saw the ice-cream cemetery, where many flavour had been laid to ...

    Another day of skiing!

A travel blog entry by matt-hryniewicz on Mar 01, 2015

Went skiing with the Reidy's and their cousins. Jay Peak is definitely a must on a skiers list. Some sweet glade skiing for novices. Packed powder. 25 degrees. Barely a breeze. A couple of quads and a tram bought you to the top. Sitting on the Canadian border in northern Vermont, it's quite remote making for small lift lines. It was a four hour ride but the ride back was a bit more interesting with the impending ...
