    25th & 26th April - We needed a break and laundry day and Mal needed a rest from all the driving so we checked into a fairly plush Hotel 5 miles from downtown Wilmington.     April 23: days 17 and 18. Wilmington, South Carolina. Serendipity to the rescue.

    Well, well, an interesting couple of days including a little car accident and a great rescue by the Serendipity Bunny. This is the good spirit who has followed us around and gets us out of jams when we are traveling.

    ... almost no traffic either way. With the current astern and not a breath of wind, we finally made the turn-out at G 177. There wasn't enough daylight left to get to Wrightsville Beach (read marinas) so we opted for overnighting at the Carolina Beach State Park Marina.
