... the West. Unfortunately we are still waiting to get our certificate, so we do not know if we will be able to do much working on this trip. Will let you know as we travel.
We have God, food, home and puppies, who could ask for more! We will miss everyone, but this is on Randy's bucket-list so we are on the road again!

Driving all day

Three days drive to New Orleans. Slept last night in Naples, then drove past Venice! Dry and sunny.

Endless driving on open 2 or 3 lane motor ways, through green country. This Interstate was one of the network of roads started by Eisenhower in the the mid-50s and completed 35 years later . Regular stops for a hundred varieties of fast food, fuel and lodging. Only time we got held up ...

... AB tunes. Earth Wind and Fire (remember?), 30 years on, played all their famous hits and spookily looked and sounded just they they always did. Lots of southern rock was enjoyed, sometimes through the night.

... are huge and private. No sooner we got settled and there was a huge thunderstorm. Boy, were we lucky. Blackwater River is one of the purest sand-bottom rivers in the nation which really makes it a popular place for swimming, fishing, paddling and camping. There are beautiful trails throughout the park which take you through undisturbed natural communities. What a bargain for only $20 a night...this is definitely the way to ...
