... like barnacle casings that crunch when you walk on them. You have to be careful when walking on the shells because the ground is soft in spots from the decomposing material and your foot sinks into the goop; just ask Karen.

We saw some wildlife during our walk, a wild rabbit, and a road runner, beep-beep.

That evening, John and Bertha taught us a new card game called Continental, which is a lot of fun.
