... I woke up with no clue where I was. Once I realized I was home, I rolled over and went back to sleep until 6:15. I was not about to be up that early so I slapped on my airplane sleep mask and zonked back out till 9:15 when I figured it was time to get up. All that meant was I moved my dozing from my bed to the couch :P I just could not wake up and proceeded to nap until around noon when ...

... before our final flight, we didn't have much time to think about it. The last flight came and went uneventfully. We eased in to the partially snow covered runway and I silently cursed the fact that I was home (ok, yeah, I probably said it out loud too). Brenda texted her friend and we headed to baggage claim. A few keystrokes later and we had the best of both!! T-minus 80 days and counting! That sounds crazy to me considering when we booked the trip to Australia wayyyyy back in May (nine months out) it seemed like forever to wait.

Things are coming along quite nicely. All hotels have been booked and paid for as have our major modes of transportation. That's where the title "taking the long way around" comes into play. We knew we were flying into Sydney ...
