... was horrendous, so what should have been a 90 min trip took closer to 2 and half and we still weren't there. So she swung off that stupid highway and managed to find another road which lead directly to the falls area.
Wow the crowds were horrendous, as it was Canada's long weekend, so they were out in force to take in sights.
I was amazed to see both the American side of the falls within a short distance of the Niagara ones. ...

... s wifi, we saw that McDonald's was not in walking distance. Meanwhile fireworks were on show, so we dashed back in front of our hotel for photos. After that we grabbed the keys and headed to the car. We were determined to get our Maccas! After some confusion with the directions, we got safely there and back and by that time were ready to crash! Not before a stop to a mini mart, however, resulting in 'candy' for them and chocolate for me!

... upper Canada. The falls also mark the border between the USA and Canada with one part of the falls being on the USA side (smaller falls) and the other being on the Canadian (the Horseshoe Falls). One surprising fact I did learn about them is at night they effectively turn them off and then turn them back on in the morning for the tourists.

Back to the meeting point and the bus was late, but arrived soon after. It was a short drive to the buffet at Jade Gardens. We had an hour here until 12:55. Back on the bus and started the long trip back to Montreal. They put on the movie "Catch me if you can" which I watched.
